The next evening Phlebotomy Technology class will be offered January 2024 .
Phlebotomy Technology is a supplemental certificate program. Supplemental programs are not eligible for financial aid.
Students may contact the office by emailing Marsha Nikahd at marsha.nikahd@tcatnashville.edu or by emailing Vickey Myatt at vickey.myatt@tcatnashville.edu for more information about Phlebotomy Technology.
This program trains students to draw blood specimens, via venipuncture and skin puncture, to aide doctors in the diagnosis and/or treatment of patient’s health issues. This short-term supplemental program with institutionally-organized, hands-on clinical training can lead to a life-long career as a phlebotomist. It can serve as a springboard into other occupations such as a Medical Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technician, Licensed Practical Nurse, or a Registered Nurse.
